Retro Caravan, sleeps 3/4
Our single caravan is 26ft long and occupies an elevated, sheltered and private position, nestled at the foot of our little fellside woodland. Unafraid of its roots, it has a retro vibe, offering a cool and affordable glamping style holiday in an idyllic countryside setting. It still has many of the original fittings (including the pink bathroom suite!) and has been really well cared for over its lifetime.
Behind the caravan the wooded fell side is home to our resident tawny owl and red squirrels. To the front are fabulous views across the valley. The caravan is great for wildlife enthusiasts as much of the activity can be watched from inside at the breakfast table or from the sofa!

- Fully equipped galley kitchen with funky red worktops extending to living/dining area. This is a replica of the much loved original kitchen which was replaced in 2020.
- Views north east towards Walla Crag & Blencathra.

- Generous area with plenty of comfy seating, dining area and smart TV.
- Woodland views.
Shower Room
- Shower room/wc with shower over hip bath in original retro pink.
Utility Room
- Utility room adjacent to the caravan with washing machine and drier.

- Valley & woodland views from inside the caravan.
- Beautiful panorama across Borrowdale to Walla Crag in the north east, past Falcon Crag, Shepherd’s Crag, Brown Dodd to King’s How in the south east which can be enjoyed from the outdoor table.
Outside
- Entrance from gravelled area with table & chairs.
- Woodland backdrop behind the caravan with rhododendrons, sheltering our resident tawny owl, woodpeckers and red squirrels; great for wildlife entusiasts as they can also be watched from inside.
- Panoramic view east.
- Off road parking for 1 car by the caravan & more off road parking nearby.

Stay with us
We offer short breaks and full week holidays all year round, with usual arrivals on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays, depending on the accommodation.
